Introducing a new HR/Payroll Provider

Good Afternoon CFS Staff,

We would like to announce that we are changing HR/Payroll providers from MITC and Paychex to Paycom, a comprehensive HR and payroll application. The switch to Paycom will provide better functionality for all departments, easier access to information, and will have advanced technology functions, and resources.

For example, new features such as the Employee Self-Service tool will include viewing pay stubs, tax information, and benefits, located all in one system, which you will be able to access from anywhere at any time. We want to ensure that everyone gets the full benefit of using this application and welcomes it as the new and improved HR/Payroll/Time keeping system.

We will be rolling out training to staff between the first and second week of August. Stay tuned for more information coming soon.

On behalf of the entire senior leadership team, thank you for your anticipated cooperation as we make the transition to Paycom.

Message from the Chief Executive Officer

As an organization we are committed to fostering a space of inclusion and support. Together we stand in solidarity with our employees, the individuals we serve and their families. As an organization we are concerned with the lives of the individuals we support and we can only do so in as society in which there is equal justice for all. We support all those speaking out against racism and injustice.

In these trying times, it is increasingly clear what it means to be an "essential worker". CFS staff continue to demonstrate their dedication to the individuals and families who depend on us.

This was true during Hurricane Sandy when a staff member bicycled across Brooklyn to relieve a coworker, or when a manager cooked meal after meal in her own kitchen and then delivered food to residences or when a Comm Hab worker brought needed supplies to a person living on her own.
The days ahead will present different challenges. To all the DSPs, Supervisors, senior leadership teams and support personnel I say THANK YOU!

I know you all have questions and concerns. We will try to reply to them as best we can. Things are changing so rapidly that what we tell you today may be different tomorrow.

Please go to the coronavirus section on our web page to get the latest information.

Guidance Regarding the use of masks

Guidance regarding the use of masks in public has changed. Although we have struggled to obtain needed supplies, we recently received a shipment of masks and gloves. We are expecting an additional 3,500 masks to arrive in the next few days. We are in the process of distributing these masks to our employees. The video link below demonstrates how to properly wear a mask and store it between uses.
